According to the real estate register of Engelberg the present building was errected in 1780 and in 1875 it was turned into a restaurant. After several restaurations and extensions the Alpenclub changed from a restaurant with just 6 tables to its present form. To keep a piece of past, grown landlord's tradition, to maintain mountain inn atmosphere and warmth is our goal. We want to preserve the cosy hospitality in the rooms of the Alpenclub, while the added hotel part, in the rustical style, emits a casual sporty ambiance. The alpine character of our house you will experience in our rooms and suites as well. We took great care in redecorating the 8 rooms to make your stay unforgettable. You have the choice between four categories: Standard rooms, Steinberg room, Titlis suite and the Rotegg room.
